What to do when you can't read the posts:

Club Masters found a way around this glitch, simply go to the homepage of the club, use your RIGHT mouse button to click on the message you want to view, select "Copy Link Location" in Netscape, or "Copy Shortcut" in Internet Explorer. Click in the URL/Address bar of your browser, click the RIGHT mouse button again and select "Paste". You need to edit this URL slightly. The beginning of it will look like this "http://messages.clubs.yahoo.com…". Simply change the word "messages to "post" so it looks like this "http://post.clubs.yahoo.com…"

What to do when you're a guest in your own club:

We all know waiting for Yahoo to answer an email takes forever, so if you find you are a guest in your club and you no longer have the admin tools, first try signing in and out a couple of times, try switching browsers as well. If signing in and out does not do it, then try this; If you have a co-founder, then remove yourself from the club...but do -not- delete the club (http://edit.clubs.yahoo.com/config/edit_my_clubs? ) go back to the club home page and re-join. Email your co-founder and have them make you founder again. If you do NOT have a co-founder email yahoo ASAP at clubs-help@yahoo-inc.com

Why does it say "restricted area"? back to top

The restricted area messages usually comes up when you are trying to enter the adult club area. If you are over the age of 18 you should be able to enter, however if Yahoo has you on file as under 18 you will not be able to get into these clubs. If you were under 18 when you signed up, and have had a birthday since, sometimes Yahoo doesn't recognize you are an adult. You can try logging in and out again, then going to the clubs main page and enter again. If it isn't working your best bet is just to create a new Yahoo account.

My club says it has been deleted, but I didn't delete it:

You try to enter your club and it tells you it's been deleted, panic hits that you have been hacked. Relax, don't panic. Sometimes Yahoo's servers go down, and we can't access our clubs. If you are using Netscape, try using IE and vise versa. Sometimes only some people get the message and other's don't, so IM anyone you see from your club, and have them try to get in. Also ask your co-founders if they deleted it. If nobody can get in try going to the Yahoo Club Main page (http://clubs.yahoo.com/) put your club name in the search area, hit enter. When the club results come up, try entering your club with that link, this sometimes works. If this doesn't work email yahoo at clubs-help@yahoo-inc.com Wait a few hours and try to get into the club again it usually works after 4 hours.

I can't upload my club photo: back to top

Make sure your club photo is no bigger than 150X150 and is a .gif or a .jpg If you know all that and you just can't get your photo uploaded to your club, use your Yahoo briefcase http://briefcase.yahoo.com/ Create a folder, upload the photo to there, then go back to your club and "point to a picture on the web" use the url of your briefcase photo. Most animated graphics work better if you use your Yahoo briefcase and point your club photo to it.

I can't get into my chat room: back to top

Don't give up, keep trying. You might be able to enter in a few minutes. Try switching browsers as well. If you have been having trouble for days and can't enter and you're ready to give up. Download cheeta chat at www.cheetachat.com Cheeta chat works with the Yahoo Clubs, and it's easier to enter, with less problems, you can even save the chats with cheeta chat, which is something you can not do with Yahoo. You'll need to read how it works, but it's worth it.

Why haven't my Club Stats updated?

One of the many mysteries of Yahoo! Our Club Stats just stop work for no reason at all. Well we are sure there is a reason, like someone at Yahoo fell asleep by the server, knocking out the one plug which keeps the stats working! This glitch usually happens to all the clubs at the same time, it's not just your club, and there is nothing you can do about it but wait!

I created a club but it doesn't show up in the category listings:

Don't believe them that it only takes 24 hours! Depending on when you created the club, it can take up to a week for the club to appear in the club listings. There have been cases where some clubs didn't show up for longer than a month! If your club is over a week old and still hasn't show up, you need to email yahoo telling them your club isn't listed. Go to this link: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/clubs/cfound/cfound-10.html click on NO and email them!

It says zero members on line in my club

This is another wonderful Yahoo Glitch that we just have to live with. It has lasted up to a week in the past. The only way to see who is on line is view the clubs member list, or check the posts. The smile faces are usually lit up in both these areas while this glitch is happening.
